This Agarose LE is a multi-purpose, high purity agarose with enhanced resolution and clarity with reduced background for general purpose electrophoresis. It exhibits Low EEO for increased electrophoretic mobility, high hysteresis, and improved thermal stability.
LE (Low Electroendosmosis)
It’s low EEO (≤ 0.13-mr ) promotes increased electrophoretic mobility, yielding improved band resolution and shorter run times. This also allows macromolecules and larger particles (subcellular fragments, viruses, etc.) to migrate more freely through the gel matrix. The consistently low EEO also provides a reduction in band distortion (caused by counterflow) that can result from the presence of excessive sulfate-rich negative ions.
High Gel Strength - High Melting Agarose
This high mechanical strength - high melting agarose allows for DNA bands to be easily excised from a gel.
Wide Range of Applications
Agarose LE is widely used for nucleic acid electrophoresis (analytical and preparative), DNA typing, protein electrophoresis (including radial immunodiffusion) and various blotting protocols.
Fast and Easy Dissolving with Excellent Transparency of Gels
Agarose LE is easily soluble, free of nucleases, and easy to use. It is highly transparent (forms a clear, colorless solution at 1g:100ml H O), and exhibits exceptionally low absorption ( ie: staining reagents).
