Naturally hydrophilic nylon filters are primarily used to filter small organic and aqueous samples with low hold-up volume in order to inject them directly in to HPLC sample lop system. These units are compatible with most organic solvents including acetone, methylene chloride and acetonitrile. Nylon is low in extractable levels with low hold-up volume. Housings are polypropylene.

Additional 1.0µm glass fiber prefilter (borosilicate) to trap larger particulate matter in samples (up to 100ml) to enhance throughput and flow rate and to extend the life of the membrane. These glass fiber profilers are binder-free and have a low affinity for protein.

17mm diameter syringe filters are designed to replace smaller 13mm sizes, respectively. Larger diameter syringe filters provide more membrane surface area for higher throughput and faster flow rate. These larger units reduce premature clogging from particulate load, characteristic of smaller diameter units.
