Trypto Soy Broth
Trypto Soy Broth without Dextrose is a liquid medium used for the cultivation of a wide variety of fastidious and non-fastidious microorganisms. The inclusion of Casein Peptone and Soy Peptone to the formula enhances the growth of many fastidious microorganisms without the addition of blood or serum. It can support the growth of a wide variety of microorganisms including aerobes, anaerobes and fungi. Sodium Chloride provides essential electrolytes and maintains the osmotic equilibrium. Dipotassium Phosphate acts as a pH buffer.
 
DESCRIPTION Trypto Soy Broth without Dextrose is used for the cultivation of fastidious and non-fastidious microorganisms.
 
 
PREPARATION Mix 27.5 grams of the medium in one liter of purified water until evenly dispersed. Heat with repeated stirring to dissolve completely. Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.
 
QUALITY CONTROL SPECIFICATIONS
 1. The powder is homogeneous, free flowing and light beige. 2. Visually the prepared medium is brilliant to clear, yellow to amber and none to light precipitate. 3. Expected cultural response after 18 - 72 hours at 35°C.

STORAGE Store the sealed bottle containing the dehydrated medium at 2 to 30°C. Once opened and recapped, place the container in a low humidity environment at the same storage temperature. Protect it from moisture and light. The dehydrated medium should be discarded if it is not free flowing or if the color has changed from the original color.
